Over 20 years after fraudster Hansen famously mopped his brow, EU lawmakers claim they're "rushed"

Rushed EU climate talks on course for perfect storm
Key to the discord is the tight political schedule.
EU diplomats are keen to wrap up climate talks next month before France hands the EU's rotating presidency to the Czech Republic -- currently split by a political power struggle and led by a president who is cynical about climate change.
With Christmas thrown into the mix, that leaves little more than three weeks for France to pin down a deal that will support the EU's ambitious goal of cutting carbon dioxide emissions by a fifth by 2020.
It is not just the EU's emissions that are at stake.
Other big industrialised countries like China, Russia, India and the United States are watching closely, mindful that they too might have to follow suit to stave off extreme weather and rising sea levels in the future.
GAS-GUZZLERS
Supporters of strong climate action say that in its rush to get a deal, France has handed out too many concessions to fend off objections from Germany, Italy, Poland and a string of other east European states.
Italy will veto the proposed 2020 European greenhouse gas limits unless it gets concessions, its environment minister Stefania Prestigiacomo told Reuters on Tuesday.

WIRTH: Dr. Hansen, if you’d start us off, we’d appreciate it. [June 1988] The wonderful Jim Hansen was wiping his brow at the table at the hearing, at the witness table, and giving this remarkable testimony.[nice shot of a sweaty Hansen]
The real problem is not lack of time--it's lack of sufficient CO2 hysteria.
