One thing I think people overlook is the fact that Henry Waxman and Ed Markey are two of the most progressive lawmakers in the US Congress. They know energy, and they aren’t a bunch of pansies when it comes to global warming. Their bill is as strong as the political system in the US will tolerate.

[About Matt Dernoga] I'm currently a Junior at the University of Maryland College Park, and a Government major....I have very strong views about energy+environment, and these really aren't going to be changed, because I know I'm right, and arrogant enough to say it. With just about everything else though, I'm open to persuasion, since my knowledge on other issues, while well rounded, definately is far from being even close to all-knowing.
