India Isn’t Buying The Global Warming Alarmism Obama Is Selling | Say Anything: North Dakota's Most Popular Political Blog
Obama dispatched Hillary Clinton to India to convince one of the world’s biggest beneficiaries of companies and business fleeing America’s high-tax, big-regulation economic environment to get on board with cap and trade. India’s response to the overtures shows that they’re a whole lot smarter than we are.

The spectacle of the Obama administration asking India to shoot itself in the foot in the name of global warming alarmism in the same way they want to shoot themselves in the foot would actually be sort of humorous if there weren’t so much at stake.
The Reference Frame: Which global mean temperature is relevant?
The world is simply not as simple as some people suggest, and even if the CO2 climate sensitivity were 3+ times as large as it is and if it matched the IPCC fantasies, the carbon dioxide would still be largely irrelevant relatively to other things that influence the temperature of the places where we and our pets spend their lives.

This is not the funny kind of irony: Scientists say the chemicals that helped solve the last global environmental crisis -- the hole in the ozone layer -- are making the current one worse.

The other option would be energy-production tariffs on imported goods, which would touch off a trade war with China. That would make goods more expensive in the US at the same time energy bills begin to skyrocket, launching an inflationary spiral and begging China for retaliation. Since China holds a large amount of US debt, that retaliation could get extremely expensive for both countries.

The US does not need to pay for China’s carbon emissions, even if the “greenhouse effect” presents a danger to the planet, a theory which increasingly looks suspect. This is yet another version of the blame-America impulse in the Obama administration, one that will hit us all in the wallet — and in our outlets and furnaces.
