Record snowfalls in northeast Germany | Radio Netherlands Worldwide
In Teterow in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, no less than 51 centimetres of snow have fallen, three centimetres more than the January 1987 record.

On the island of Hiddensee in the Baltic Sea, the snow is currently lying 45 centimetres deep, seven centimetres more than the record set in 2001.
