With temperatures ranging in the 30s through 50s Fahrenheit, this can be ideal for the development of stripe rust, especially on susceptible varieties of wheat that have little tolerance to this fungal pathogen. Stripe rust thrives under humid and cold conditions.

The online survey indicated 58 percent of Canadians believe global warming is a fact and caused by emissions from vehicles and industrial facilities. Forty-one percent of Americans surveyed and 38 percent of Britons said they believed global warming is fact.
