Climate Common Sense: The Irony of Using King Canute as a Warmist Symbol
King Canute ,by sitting on the beach and commanding the tide to go back demonstrated to his people the futility of trying to control Nature , a lesson today's warmists apparently have not learned. The logic in choosing Canute as a symbol for their nonsense completely escapes me.
Coalition spends £1.2m on climate change talks since election - not including Cancun | Mail Online
The Coalition has spent more than £1.2 million on international climate change talks since the election, it emerged last night.

The figure included an eye-watering £41,800 on hotel accommodation for a summit in Bonn over the summer - and another £17,800 for the luxury Hotel Fira Palace in Barcelona in May.
...
The Government is sending 46 delegates to Cancun for the talks, which are expected to last for two weeks.
...
The Government also paid £790,000 to the UN to cover the cost of talks in Bonn and China in the run up to Cancun.

But DECC declined to say how much it was spending on the Cancun talks.
