Global CO2 Emissions Drop | The Resilient Earth
Environmentalism is a lever used by malcontents to move governments, a smokescreen for “de-developing” the industrial nations, and a sinecure for useless bureaucrats. In the view of many greens, the future is a low-impact agricultural existence—life in a yurt with a wind turbine and some solar cells—but that is not the future most people wish for themselves or their children. The future can be prosperous, cleaner and more efficient than ever. Not because of the greens, but in spite of them. Citizens need to speak up in support of rational energy and environmental policies, and against environmental extremism. It is easy to dismiss the eco-loony left as fools, but they are dangerous fools and are ignored only at the public's peril.
Coyote Blog » Blog Archive » More Thoughts on EV MPG
After several posts yesterday, I rewrote my thoughts on EV’s and the new EPA mileage numbers. I am more convinced than ever that this standard borders on outright fraud, particularly when the DOE published what should be the correct methodology way back in the Clinton Administration and the EPA has ignored this advice and gone with a methodology that inflates the MPG (equivilant) of EV’s by a factor of nearly 3. For example, the list the Nissan Leaf with an MPGe of 99, but by the DOE methodology the number should be 36.
Extreme Winter Weather…-36°C…Sweden Calls In The Military!
Temperatures as low as -36 degrees Celsius have been recorded in Sweden as snowfalls and storm winds play havoc with transport services.
Predictions Of Warm Winters Get Buried In Ice
With the bitter cold and snowfall forecast for the days ahead in northern and central Europe, this winter is truly shaping up to be the 3rd consecutive hard winter to batter Europe with snow and cold. This of course all flies in the face of projections made 10 years ago and even less. I thought now is a good time to bring up what the consensus and settled science told us 10 years ago.
