Saying the UN is not the right venue to solve the problem misses the point. The problem is only a vehicle to give UN authority to manage fossile energy and the flow of funds. Like a crime boss providing "protection" to a small business, there will alway be a need for their form of insurance. The "problem" will never go away because its not in the crime boss's interest for it to go away.
