WILL.I.AM CHOPPER SHOCK

WILL.I.AM dropped in on Oxford Uni to talk about climate change in his own private helicopter.

The Black Eyed Peas star, 37, proudly Tweeted pics of the gas-guzzling “hip.hop.copter” when he touched down.

He then spent just an hour with leading climate expert Myles Allen before jetting off to Taunton to carry the Olympic torch.

His 286-mile round trip from London used 71.5 gallons of fuel and pumped three-quarters of a tonne of CO2 into the atmosphere.

That is the same as the average UK resident produces in a month.

US Franciscan statement on climate change : News Headlines - Catholic Culture

The largest province of Franciscan (OFM) friars in the United States has issued a statement on climate change.

“As we reflect on the signs of the times, we may realize that the edifice of the dominant worldview is beginning to crumble,” Holy Name Province said in its statement.” It is a worldview in which human beings have seen themselves as separated from the rest of God’s creation and free to pursue the dream of unlimited material growth and consumption.”
