John Kerry: "an exceptional country does care about the rise of the oceans and the future of the planet. That is a responsibility from the Scriptures"

Transcript of John Kerry’s speech - Politics - The Boston Globe
Despite what you heard in Tampa, an exceptional country does care about the rise of the oceans and the future of the planet. That is a responsibility from the Scriptures - and that too is a responsibility of the leader of the free world.

Kerry just ticked off everyone who knows even the basics from the Bible. God told man to "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion...over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." (from Genesis, 1:27-28). He did not charge him with responsibility for things that are beyond his control, including the rise and fall of the sea, or the future of the planet. Instead of treating the hysteria of incompetent climate scientists as scripture, Kerry should read Job 38, and acknowledge his ignorance, which is the equal of Job's. All the wise men of history are shaking their heads over Kerry's hubris, and latent tyranny.

Science began with the Pre-Socratics and the Epicurean philosophers who objected to the fear-mongering and guilt-mongering suggestions that our sins influence the weather. Kerry and the National Center for Science Education have parted company with science and natural philosophy when they make these suggestions.
