Here is a 1/24/06 "For the Birds" radio segment (MP3 format) from "believer" Laura Erickson. It's about five minutes long.

Here's what I wrote to her this morning:
I've just read your blog post of today, which fills out your position a bit more. It's funny that you think that people like me have "no life," and that you're out there doing something good for the birds while we sit around and obsess about the views of Laura Erickson. Talk about narcisism! I won't bother to explain the details of my life to you, but rest assured that it involves plenty of time in the field and almost no time obsessing about you and your opinions.
Last night, I took the time to explain a few things to you, very respectfully and without rancor, because you're out in public presuming to speak "for the birds" and because you have completely mischaracterized the views of people like myself. You now acknowledge that you give the bird in question only a "better than even chance" of having been an IbWo, which makes you one of us. As such, you may want to review some of the gratuitously denigrating things you've written about people like yourself who don't believe the case has been truly proven.
