You should take a good look at the information here.
The logo is nice, the team is massive, and it looks like Very Big Plans were going to be made.
It's truly remarkable that this almost certainly stemmed from some misidentified Pileateds, an out-of-focus branch stub, some Blue Jay calls, etc.

Talk about the Good Ol Boy network. I counted only 4 women on the "teams" (assuming Lula is a woman)! I could have missed one or two, but Yikes fellas. No need to comment on that, but just in case you only reviewed it through skeptics eyes......
On another note....This team MUST get some outside members - there doesn't seem to be many people on it who are not financially motivated to keep this charade going, and to date I bet they have not invited any of the Big Name Naysayers.

Only men are capable of making the critical judgements necessary to determine that a bird that is 90% hidden behind the trunk of a Tupelo tree is an IBWO. Also men know how to spend Federal monies more efficiently.
Sorry...but it had to be said for the sake of the IBWO. This is too important to mess up. This is life and death for the Lord God Bird. All bird conservation in Christiandom depends on it.

By the way, we have exactly a month before Dr. Fitzpatrick makes his “momentous announcement” based on my earlier bold prediction.
However, I have been rethinking my earlier prediction of 20 breeding pairs. I perhaps may have been a little overly ambitious. So, I am now officially predicting that a core breeding population of 10 pair of IBWO have been found.

And TB, ten pairs? You've set a high bar for Fitz. Your motto must be "I Believe, Therefore I am" You will have to be astronomically lucky on this prediction.

How could these fellows let us down so completely? There's some good names on that list. They've done some good work around the country, especially the USF&WS staff. They know better than to get involved in this stupidity.

how many ivory bill tour groups are there now making money on this? I suspect there are plans for at least a few, if they already don't exist. Suckers...
