The fish in this barrel must be CATFISH. They have 9 lives each. Or else they are prolific breeders.

(Too bad the IBWO is no longer a prolific breeder.)

I’ve been asked to come back to the Skeptic side. I can’t. Originally I was impressed with Tom’s “Red Flags in the Evidence”. They are very persuasive. They would be the definitive statement on this IBWO matter except for one small matter. Tom just looked at the evidence. I prefer to look at the people involved.

1.What are the odds that Dr. Fitzpatrick, the leading Ornithologist in the world, would publish based upon the evidence so far presented by an electrical engineer, his editor of Cornell’s bird magazine, or a nice fellow in a kayak? I don’t think so!

2. What are the odds that Science, the leading journal of science in the world, would published based on just the slim evidence as Tom outlines? Very slim!

Yes as we scientists would say, the Null Hypothesis must be rejected here. Dr. Fitzpatrick has other evidence that only he and a few others such as Science.com has seen. This is the basis of my bold prediction.

Folks, we aren’t in Kansas anymore. We are in the presence of genius. And we will soon be up to our eyeballs in breeding IBWOs!!!!

Skeptics, May 10 you will burn in hell. True Believers, our salvation will be May 10 (or before).

Signed,

The True Believer
