Chosen, just not chosen to get a decent photograph. That must eat this "avid bird photogapher" up. Of course I guess he claims he has a video. Has anyone seen Bobby's video? Bird Chick was impressed by it. Think he'll ever published it? I guess if he's using it to entice people to his talks maybe that's not in his interest. Maybe a little more swamp time and less talk time would help. But then I guess he has to pay for his swamp time somehow.

Soooo, now he's seen 5. May I suggest we take up a collection to get BH something like, oh, a FREAKIN Helmet Cam! Obviously he is well-enough Ghillied, and the Good Lord sees fit to smile on him WAY more than anyone else, but I ask you BH....
Why Oh Freakin Why should anyone believe you if you can't produce ANY evidence? Photo, video, feather. Do you carry a camera, or is that enough to scare away God? Does it require that you demonstrate the faith to see the bird?
I can't imagine what he'lll see up in Kirtland's Land...think we should tell him that the big model of the Kirtland's in town (in Mio or Greyling) is not to scale....or should we just wait for him to report a new species?
Arghhhhhhhhhhhh, methinks I'll have one of those beers now.
Only 4 days left until Bobby's life will change forever. I doubt seriously whether he will be able to go into the public anymore.
He'll be more famous than Tom Cruise. It will be like the Second Coming.
Poor guy doesn't realize how fame can change a person. Just ask Jennifer Anniston.

I do know someone who has seen it, someone who, well, has a reputation for being pretty pretty good at bird ID.
His feeling was, at first, that it was a PIWO, BH insisted it wasn't, then, bird-id guy watched more and thought it was, possibly, a Red-bellied Woodie flying away - not an IBWO or a PIWO flying toward the camera.
It is another crappy video (hence bird id guy's confusion about what direction the critter was actually going!), and NOT a crappy video of an IBWO.
On another note the USFWS is having a a phone press conference tomorrow to announce their findings from this year's search....does anyone know the number to call to join in on the celebration? I listened to the original "announcement" - you don't need press credentials to join in and listen.
