At 11:00 [May 20, in Clarendon, Ark] the Big Woods Conservation Partnership, including Cornell University, will give an end of the season wrap up on the 2005-2006 search for the Ivory-billed Woodpecker. Don't miss the update on our fine feathered friend!

Oops. Did I say May 10th? Obviously, I meant May 20. Yeah, that's the date.
I can't see Fitz standing up there and saying they didn't find anything. So I'm sticking to my slightly reduced bold prediction of 7 pairs, living in the idyllic big woods of the south.
Signed,
The TB
Boy, does this seem like an appropriate venue to discuss the results of the IBWO search..Year Two. This is what ya get for your millions of dollars of donations to TNC/CLO/ and the other Big Woods Coalition of the Willing (To Spin and Twist The Fact That They Never Had Any IBWOs). It is a cumbersome name, but perhaps more apt (BWCOTWTSATTFTTNHAIBWO). Step Right Up ladies and Gents.
I'd have such a hard time deciding between:
11:00-12:00 Big Woods Conservation Partnership: Update on the Ivory-Bill
Main Stage
and the:
11:30 Martial Arts Exhibition
Then again there is the:
Additional All-Day Events
Free
Cheerio stringing
Butterfly craft
Bird Bingo with prizes
Coloring books
Pinecone birdfeeders
I'd have to go with the Cheerio stringing myself. Maybe fit in a little of the Martial Arts Demo. I'd expect they'd have a special seminar:
How To Talk To Your Friends About The Ivory-bill: Turning Fiction to Fact
or
Ignoring The Evidence: When The Null Hypothesis Is True
or
(you fill in the rest)
Suppose they'll use Daddy's private jet to get there, or will they suffer the indignity of flying coach?
