Good birding, Tom. But please don't come back with a sighting that is the "biggest conservation story of the last century". Once a decade is enough for one of those.
Assume you will be able to weigh in on the May 20 announcement - which will either put this blog out of business or demonstrate to an even larger audience the reasons for being skeptical of the "rediscovery".
Only 5 days to go until the eminent Dr. Fitzpatrick announces 7 pair of IBWO in the big woods of Arkansas! Do you Skeptics and others realize how big this is?
This is not called the Lord God Bird for nothing. I predict that peoples around the world will rejoice together. Muslim and Jews will embrace. Bush will see the wisdom of conservation. Even Rush will have nice things to say. Global warming will finally be addressed. Kyoto will be the law of the land…ney the world.
Cats will lay down with dogs….sheep with wolves…..goats with leopards…
This is momentous. Did I mention that I’m so excited I might pee in my pants?
