More on head-mounted cams

It seems that the folks at BirdForum (post 1, post 2, post 3) are seriously considering the use of head-mounted cameras for Ivory-bill searches.

With appropriate face paint, ghillie suit, and head-mounted camera, I'd think you'd be unstoppable at finally documenting the Ivory-bills just off Highway 17 near Brinkley.

it was, are you ready....'edited for grammar' at 11:32

I really want to see a field trip of BIRDFORUM dudes out in ghillie suits and head-cams. There was even a post awhile back with a picture of a Black Vulture asking 'what's this bird'.

And their telling us how to search for Ivory-bills! It would be funny if they weren't so earnest. Actually it's funnier because they are so earnest.

(I know this is mean, but they don't hold back against Jerry or Tom).

In the celebration of the nonsense of our times, I give you....

I love peaches
I love pears
All this teaches
Is fruit beware

Fitz saw white
Fitz saw black
All he writes
Is out of whack

I saw white
Fitz loves pear
Now that’s right
Don’t despair

With undying apologies to the WHO and their hit "Pinball Wizard"...

I’m a head-cam mama,
now don’t despair
I’m a head-cam mama,
Ya’birds got to be aware

How do you think I do it?
You don’t know!
What makes me so good?

ain't got no distractions
ain’t got no other way,
But to use Arkansas Chrome,
I wrap over cam and under chin
For good measure, I tuck it in
Always gets my fowle,
That bird forum net kid
sure had a good idea.

For those of you from the IVY league, "Arkansas Chrome" is the sames as "Mississippi Chrome".

i.e.- Duct Tape, a beloved invention used regularly by southern boys such as myself.
