"This is what science is about," said John Fitzpatrick, director of the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology..
Oh, please, Fitz. Don't try to wrap yourself in that cloak after soiling it for the past year. You know very well this is what unwarranted certitude is all about. Take some of your toady coauthors and fly in a private jet to visit the head of TNC for the weekend. Maybe he still respects you for something. And of course your toadies will always respect you because their names will be linked forever to your hubris.
Don't assume that everyone at LSU is a believer. I suspect that Remsen (who is normally more rational) and maybe a couple of sycophants are the only ones at LSU who are still lost in IBWO la-la land. As for everyone else there, well... courage is admirable but so is a paycheck. So, most of the South continues to lay low rather than "rising again." Of course, that's all speculation. Anyway, please keep the focus on Remsen when referring to "LSU"- I don't believe that the rest of them appreciate the "guilt by association."

Why is it that the Ivy's and the Ivy states are the only ones having any say in all this foolishness.
Where the heck is LSU? Hey fellows! Are you feeling inferior to the Ivy's? Come on. What say you?
Sure Remsen made a mistake too, but what about the rest of you LSU folks?
Come on...I thought the South was supposed to rise again!!??
Fitz is the master politician, my bald head salutes him. You don't head the CLO by being a dummy.

Gag me.
