Mike Mlodinow agreed to mail me a copy of his "official" reason for rejecting the Arkansas Ivory-bill record.
It's just a single sheet of paper, dated May 10, 2006.
Here are the scans:

It's nice to read someone actually using a bit of common sense in weighing up these reports. Given the nature of the record, I would'nt be surprised if there had been pressure to accept the bird, and so it is commendable that he stands firm by his interpretation of the 'evidence'
More problems with chronology! The ABRC reportedly received the IBWO record (i.e., the video) for review on 6/17/05, and news of the ABRCs acceptance of the record was announced on or about 11/18/05, yet Michael Mlodinow's ballot is clearly dated 5/10/06, a full 6 months after the decision had been made. Can somebody please explain the discrepancies?
Committees review previously rejected records if more information comes to light, of if the initial record falls within a subsequently established pattern of occurence. How would the ABRC vote on a review of the record today, now that the evidence for IBWO has been debunked?
