The socio-economic aspects are quickly becoming more interesting than the extinct birds themselves.

A. Greatly widens the gulf between latte drinking, Volvo driving academics/yuppies and the rest of us environmentalists.

Brought under the micoscope how out of touch Audubon, TNC, and CLO are from your every day working class stiff. Time to reach out to the masses, boys and girls.

B. As we merrily destroy our living planet with carbon dioxide emissions, when are the elites going to give up the status symbols of ecological destruction while vainfully trying to preserve extinct species.
