A few links

1. An article on two Arkansas searchers is here.

2. As of this moment, note that key skeptical language has been removed from the Wikipedia Ivory-billed Woodpecker page.

3. Mennill "loses" a sound technician here.

4. A poem by Susan Wood is here.

If I remember correctly, Tim and Bobby's documentation of this "confirmed" sighting was a drawing of some wings with white on the trailing edge of the upperside. There was no head or tail and no back stripes. Without a head and a tail I really don't see how they could even confirm that they saw a bird, much less an Ivory-billed Woodpecker.

That's not a poem. That's prose with carriage returns and no paragraphs.

After the Cold Fusion debacle, the "discoverers" had to go to France to continue their "research".

Well, the same thing is happening with IBWO searchers. The Birdforum dot Net nuts have gone to their own forum where no dissent is allowed. The CLO is busy telling their donors that it was really all about saving the world not about the IBWO.

Fishcrow is in his own little world. He might even think that he is in France.

And Auburn might as well be France for all the real ornithology that is done there.

The bit about no dissent allowed on the new IBWO forum reminds me *so* much of 9/11 skeptic forums, where dissent is ruthlessly crushed.

People still believe that 9/11 happened?

It was so obviously filmed on a studio lot. The Twin Towers were props left over from the Kong remake with Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange.
