Okay, you skeptics. I understand the link is meant to be make fun of believers but I have never seen this type of pattern on any other bark and I have spent a great deal of time looking for woodpecker sign in the past few years.
There is no explanation for the pattern seen on the tree other than an IBWO. Do you think it was just by chance that this was seen in Florida. Find anything similar in Montana or New Mexico. If you can't then it is proof that the IBWO LIVES!!

Dear Anon 10:01 PM- Hopefully, you are being sarcastic. If so, then please be more obvious if you don't want to get torn apart by our attack dog Amy. On the other hand, if you are serious (please, please....), then just confirm and I'll have a follow-up for you.

What??? This is just about as moronic as any other TB suggestion that I've seen.
Do you find exactly the same trees, the same climatic conditions and and identical ecosytem in Montana and New Mexico as you do in Florida? No? Well, in that case there are many, many things that the absence of similar sign in Mew Mexico and Montana may prove.

and it was meant to be since it was sarcasm. I really don't think that "Jesus on a Tree" is proof that the IBWO is extant. Nor do I think that not having "Jesus on a Tree" in Montana is proof of IBWO in Florida.
I realize it is hard to parody the TBs since their ID skills are such that they wouldn't know a parody from a Paridae - but I thought this one was pretty obvious. Or at least should have been to a skeptic.

I don't see Jesus. I see Harrison.
Oh my! I guess Bobby is god!
"Lord God!"
Why is Jesus sticking his tongue out?

It's not Jesus. It's Dan Fogelberg.

There's that IBWO from the Luneau video sticking its' head out from the right side of the tree.
See just below Jesus's face about a foot off the ground.
That's real proof now! It does exist!

So an IBWO can perch on it ?

"I realize it is hard to parody the TBs"
It seems to be impossible. I'm glad I'm not the only one confused by attempted parodies that are less absurd than the serious TB postings.
