A while ago I got curious about that annoying guy who posts a lot on the IBWO forum and did some searching on his email. I think I found him: he's here where he posts a lot of political stuff and also this:A Little Bit of Good Environmental NewsHis email address in the above comes up as mmarmike@(XXX.XXX)

I was a birder when I was a kid, and like so many others with that interest, the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker captured my imagination. . .so much so that I broke down and cried when the rediscovery was announced a few months ago.
The last time I did some searching on him, his MMinNY screen name led me to somebody named Mark Michaels, aka Swami Umeshanand, but he seems to have changed his email on his swami site in the meantime. Check him out here and here as well as other places. The Swami has a law degree from NYU and lives outside NY.

Frankly, I don't find this post to be relevant to news about the Ivory-bill, or the Ivory-bill hoax, or whatever. People in on-line forums chose to reveal as much of their identity as they like, and that is fine with me. (I post under my own name, but I respect other people's desire to remain somewhat anonymous.)
I frequently like to read the "Ivory-bill Skeptic" and it is very useful in keeping us updated on the latest news, however, I must agree that this was not relevant information. It just seems wrong to post something like this.
Holy jehosefats, a swami! No wonder he knows so much about the Ivory-billed Woodpecker.
He has a direct line to god, with a small g.
All along I thought he was Bill Pulliam! Damn!
Considering that MMinNY defended his right to remain anonymous on BF and yet aggressively demanded that tmguy should reveal his identity, I think that whoever has tracked him down has merely done an honest thing in search of justice......thank you. Isn't the outing of TBs relevant to skepticism about the IBWO?
