Ornithologists from Auburn University have since been searching in Florida and now have a large amount of evidence, including 14 sightings by trained ornithologists, that a population of Ivory-bills may exist in the swamps surrounding the Choctawhatchee River.
So they have 14 sightings by "trained ornithologists" (like a grad student), yet there "a population of Ivory-bills may exist"? So much for the quality of the 14 sightings.
