Magic - the art of producing illusions by sleight of hand

Well at least when they say it is a bird of "Magic and Science" they are getting the most important descriptor first.

Hint to CLO and friends: next time take more time to try to hide the wires, etc. Nothing more depressing than a magician whose tricks are transparent.

Its a bird of Science with a capital "S", not of science

Brad Alexander seems like a good guy. For you, the "someone" who said the Ivory-bill lives between science and magic is Giraldo Alayón of Cuba. Giraldo saw the species mid March 1986 and 1987 in Cuba, the first reports since Orlando Garrido had seen a female in 1968. By the way, Orlando said the bird hitched its way around the tree to get a better look at him. (Attention Auburn!)

Steve Osborne mentioned how Teddy Roosevelt was so impressed by the species. Well, Rooselvelt's own description from 1907 surpasses any current sightings. He said, "their brilliant white bills contrasted finely with the black of their general plumage." Roosevelt also said, "they were noisy." (Attention Auburn!!)

Glad all these folks are attracted to the magic, spiritual bonding, and mysticism. It's the first step to TBism. (Mysticism, not rational and empirically based thinking, is a link between MMny, Cyberthrush, and others. No surprise.)

"Folks talk about the Ivory-bill being a different color of black"

Yes, folks you heard a lot about the white. Heck you've argued over it endlessly in the Luneau video.

But the real key is the black! There no black like that black. Yes, black is the new white.
