These recent sound detections have re-energized the troops. We’re still optimistic that we’ll get some definitive evidence for the existence of ivorybills before this year’s search ends.

CO2 is NOT the climate control knob

Even though I'm a believer (Confidence rate 85% but falling slowly), I've got to say you're the only one who seems to take the time to find so many articles.
My neighbor's granddaughter just figured it out ! An ivorybill has borrowed Harry Potter's invisibility cloak !
Amazing that Hill pops in for a day and manages to hear something "interesting" after months of nothing. Just in time for spring fund raising, how fortunate. And we thought Fishcrow was the only known IBWO whisperer.
Hill isn't in it for the fundraising. He may be crazy about this, but he ain't no Bobb-uh Harrison.
I've known Hill for a few years and this whole IBWO thing is baffling. He is a fine ornithologist and well respected for his work with color. He is also alot like, believe it or not, Tom Nelson, when it comes to skepticism for most extinct birds. Esqimault Curlew, Bachman's Warbler,.. he will shoot all of those down with a litany of thoughtful skeptical points.
Even with the IBWO, he can be very skeptical. Ask him about Cornell! But something about his fascination with Tyler Hicks has him not thinking straight about these phantoms on the Chocawachee.

Thanks, anon. Very helpful first person view of what makes Hillcrow tick.
Very peculiar man. Maybe it is all Tyler Hicks fault. Wonder how he feels having led his professor into ridicule?
"Maybe it is all Tyler Hicks fault"
Don't forget Mary Scott's cell phone psychic, who can be credited with inspiring the Arkansas rediscovery. Mary Scott has observed that "my role in the rediscovery has been obscured in the drama" thanks to the CLO hogging the limelight, but she herself fails to give due credit to her own supernatural guide.
As John Wall has noted on his Peckergate site, Hillcrow's team are mere second-rate copycats.

That was indeed funny. But not really the same thing. All reasonable people can understand that psychics are a nutty concept.
But Hillcrow seems different. Has/had a good reputation according to our first-person account fellow above. But now he's gone irrational. How do we explain that?
That's the really really interesting question. How to explain Hillcrow?
"All reasonable people can understand that psychics are a nutty concept"
If psychics and yurt-dwellers are so obviously nutty, then why did the CLO and others follow up on but not properly credit Mary Scott's psychic-inspired sighting?
