Quote from the 2nd video: nick-named the Lord God Bird by Teddy Roosevelt.
Does the mainstream news media no longer employ fact-checkers? The above quote makes a nice sound bite, but IT'S NOT TRUE!! I have seen this statement repeated ad nauseum in the popular press, but a source document is never cited (probably because it's not to be found). Just another example of a myth in the making about the IBWO.

2:05 of video #1... "But recent sightings, some substantiated, some not, in LA, FL, and AR have many in the birding community excited..."
Try "none substantiated".
1:31 of video #2... In reference to Sparling, "He's not really a birder, but he knew he saw something special."
Wow. There's something I've never heard before. A non-birder claiming "something special".
2:17 of video #2... "They used Luneau's video, confirmed sightings, and sound recordings to make their case."
3 strikes and yerrrrrrrr OUT!
2:23 of video #2...
Well you just have to listen to that statement yourself.
