CBC interviews (aired January 4, '06)

Lots of good stuff is in part 3 here (just under 20 minutes in length).

If you scroll down at the link above, you'll also see some related text.

Update: Here's a quote by John Fitzpatrick (from the 18:35 mark):
...an experienced birder, with one look at this [Luneau] video, recognizes he got it.

Bill Pulliam says that the bird in the now infamous Luneau video shows a dark leading edge, guaranteeing that any dark edge seen can not be separated from video effect. I disagree for several reasons, but here's yet another reason.

Note that this old photo of a known Ivory-billed is showing a bird with a supposed dark leading edge, despite the fact that we know the underside of the wing has no such darkness. The wing is curved a bit, and we're seeing the darkness from the dorsal surface. This illustrates that an apparent (versus real) dark leading edge could be possible on either species, as they have similar coloration in those areas of the wing.

Everyone on here is satisfied that Soggy Bill is pretty much off the reservation. But he does try so hard. It's almost cute.

And what is "it"? "It" is "a hosing by an overeager group of ornithologists who can't admit their enormously public blunder".
