I hope no one dismisses this report out of hand, especially anyone who hasn't searched this brutally dry area of Texas themselves.

There has NEVER been a systematic search of all potential Chupacabra habitat and with all these reports continuing to roll in SOME of them have to be legitimate. I'm ready to say:

Chupacabras LiVE!

Chupacabra or not, the discovery has spawned a local and international craze. Canion has started selling T-shirts that read: "2007, The Summer of the Chupacabra, Cuero, Texas," accompanied by a caricature of the creature. The $5 shirts have gone all over the world, including Japan, Australia and Brunei. Schaar also said he has one.

"If everyone has a fun time with it, we'll keep doing it," she said. "It's good for Cuero."

Chupacabras are way cooler than some dumb woodpecker. I think a minimum of $10-30 million to follow up on this.

You forgot the second exclamation point!!

Chupacabras LiVE!!

Better isn't it??

"Chupacabras are way cooler than some dumb woodpecker. I think a minimum of $10-30 million to follow up on this"

I'd say its at least twice as cool. How about $60 million from the Feds which matching funds from Texas and a cross-border initiative with Mexico?
