...the planet is heating much more rapidly today than during the Cretaceous Period...In my humble opinion, that statement is patently absurd.
There's wide disagreement over just how much (if any) the earth is heating now; how can anyone claim to measure decadal temperature fluctuations over an 80 million year period starting maybe 150 million years ago?!
