University of Victoria earth and ocean sciences professor Andrew Weaver, a lead author on one of the International Panel on Climate Change's reports last year, said, "You want to get people off the roads, not make more roads."

Tehy are trying to take away our cars! They want us off the road. Not new technology that does not pollute (err emit), but off the roads completely!
