Excerpts:
March 31 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. rejected a Chinese proposal that developed countries should contribute a percentage of their gross domestic product to mitigate the effects of climate change.Evidently, all China wants is to simultaneously be the largest world CO2 emitter, the largest seller of highly-questionable CO2 emission credits, and on top of that, to be a large beneficiary of a separate CO2-related annual handout from the U.S.
China, the world's second-biggest emitter of carbon dioxide, called for developed nations to provide financial support of 0.5 percent of their GDP a year to help it and other developing nations fight global warming.
...
The sum sought by China would amount to $66 billion a year from the U.S., according to Bloomberg data.
