While the prices of gas continue to rise and the message of global climate change continue to get more popular, and the traffic is seemingly unbearable, AND when someone says Rideshare Rewards, I say, "tell me more"!

People who haven't carpooled before, may think of the idea of sharing a ride with someone else a sacrafice or even an inconvenience, but carpooling can be rewarding financially, socially, and professionally.

When I carpool I get to work a whole lot less stressed than some of my counterparts who drive alone. I also split the cost of commuting two ways. That means I'm paying half the costs in fuel than my colleagues who don't carpool.

If I want to talk, I talk, if I don't I simply read, listen to the radio or sleep (since I have about a 45 minute commute). But the truth is, I look forward to my commute each morning because I like my carpool partner.

Our carpool is flexible. If something comes up we have it all worked out. Today my carpool partner got a ride home early with someone else. I got to stay at work a little later and listen to the radio a little louder and make a stop on my way home. It wasn't a planned, but it worked out. We have a system. Most people think that carpooling has to occur every day...it doesn't. You can set your own rules.

So if you read about some agency that's going to PAY YOU TO CARPOOL???? Well, why not check it out? Plus you'll feel good about how you're being treating the environment.
