The low temperature Monday morning recorded at the National Weather Service in Great Falls was minus 8 degrees, which broke the previous record of 11.
"We broke that record by a mile," said National Weather Service meteorologist Dan Zumpfe. "The previous record of 11 was set in 1951. We broke it by 19 degrees."
