IOL: Cold and wet, winter comes to Cape Town
Disaster Risk Management has been placed on high alert after weather office predictions of intense cold and wet weather as yet another cold front makes its way toward Cape Town.

According to weather forecaster Lynette van Schalkwyk, Capetonians should brace themselves for generally cold weather conditions.

How did you hit on cape Town for your blog post this morning? Is our cold,wet weather right now particularly indicative of climate change/global warming?

I'm interested 'cos it sure is cold for us and very stormy

One reason that I post links to "cold weather" reports is to provide a bit of counterbalance to the mainstream media, who love to report only "warm weather" events, while suggesting that these are an indication that catastrophic human-caused global warming will follow...
