If the temperature warms a fraction of a degree over the next hundred years, maybe something unspecified will happen to microbes, and maybe this will be "bad"!!
Maybe they're right, but I will say this: On my visits to Iowa, where the soil temperature is consistently warmer than in Minnesota, I've consistently failed to notice a large number of disasters or human fatalities that could be plausibly tied to microbial action.
