The Nelson region fares better than many others, with a surfeit of the clear, still, sunny days that have typified the last few weeks. But the nights are cold and growing colder, posing a threat to the health and wellbeing of those elderly citizens who live in poorly-insulated dwellings and are worried by the expense of adequately heating them.
