If Penny Wong were French, we’d be freezing

Climate Change Minister Penny Wong yesterday told me the proof of global warming was a drought in the Murray-Darling. It’s the ultimate exercise of self-absorbtion - that if something happens to us, it must be happening to everyone.

But if Wong were a French skier using her same extraordinary arguments, she’d of course conclude that the world from Sydney to Stockholm was buried under unusual snow thanks to global cooling. But at least French Wong would be more right than Australian Wong...

Crud! I just realized that global warming is our fault! Sudburians cut down most of our trees to rebuild Chicago and for smelting cribs. This caused soil erosion. The exposed rocks turned black from the crib smelting which raised our albedo!
