Energy Minister David Parker has lost patience with a fierce critic of the Government's handling of the winter power shortage.
Parker yesterday launched an attack on Auckland energy consultant Bryan Leyland, claiming his scepticism about man-made climate change gave him an "underlying agenda" for his comments "rarking up" fears of power cuts.

Parker said Leyland was "the most quoted energy commentator" in the media. "I think he presents himself as a voice of moderation when he is fringe.
