So far, the scaremongering about hotter weather seems to be just that, an over-reaction to global warming fears, and as we all recycle our waste as never before, as we’re hit by all sorts of green taxes, we aren’t repaid by hot glorious sunshine.

There is no need for a hosepipe ban as no-one is using those due to plenty of rain, and if you had already planted tropical plants in readiness for a severe drought, they’re probably dead by now in this typical British summer weather that bears no resemblance whatsoever to a world that’s supposedly heating up.
