NC Media Watch: Testing the depths of CARB's sea level rise problem
Now if we take a close look at the chart above, you can see that the expansion trend started slowing in 2005 and by 2008 was in decline. It was about 2005 that the Jason Project, 3000 free-drifting floats that measure and report the ocean temperature profile, started to observe some ocean cooling. As the ocean cools it shrinks. And it appears to be shrinking. Can the oceans cool and still have global warming. Not likely.
Now with the oceans are cooling and shrinking, should CARB be worried about sea level rise? Really? Why, what would be the rational? For the last two years the sea level has been declining. Again, CARB is trying to solve a problem that does not exist with your tax dollars. Time for action IS NOW! Post your comments on the CARB Scoping plan.
