Danish government blows a million dollars funding a climate change unit in Uganda

Uganda Government News: Ministry to establish climate change unit

The ministry of water and environment has received funding from the Danish government worth 1 million dollars to establish a climate change unit.

Among the immediate objectives of the project includes establishing a climate change unit with adequate personnel and facilities and create climate change awareness campaigns and its challenges among the public.

Uganda experienced severe draught in 2005 and 2006 especially in Karamoja and flooding last year in Teso as a result of climate change.
