New ice forming in the Northwest Passage area

Berrimilla Down-Under-Mars: Holding my breath!
The bad news is new ice is forming in the northern areas above Resolute and way above Barrow. One can play 'chicken' with new ice at this time of year, but sooner or later the new ice will win.I don't expect any new ice to stay.

The Barrow sea ice webcam and radar is offline for maintenance.

Might be a coincidence.

Strange that they use an Aug 15th 2007 static shot from the archive, instead of the last available live shot.
