Will these people willingly pay large sums of money in a futile attempt to turn the "thermostat" DOWN a fraction of a degree?

Australia: Allure of the warmer isles
“IT’s freezing, get me out of here,” is the catch-cry greeting local travel agents who have been inundated with clients keen to escape Orange’s chilly weather and head to warmer climates.

Travelworld’s travel agent/director Gai Fardell said: “The islands like Vanuatu, Samoa and Fiji and Queensland are very popular at the moment.”

According to Mrs Fardell people are keen to go to the islands because not only is travel there affordable but they are only a few hours flight from Australia.

Those destinations stand out as an easy solution for travellers simply wishing to “warm up”.

“People really want to go somewhere that’s balmy ... I know the cold weather (in Orange) even turns me off going out at night.”

Mrs Fardell said customer often come in and say they’re just “too cold, and need to go somewhere warm”.
