Australia: Global Warming - Sorry, Climate Change « PA Pundits

...Back to the recent interview I heard. The announcer asked the question that in this time when Global Warming was all the talk, why then have we had some of the coldest weather over Winter that we have ever had.
The commentator corrected the announcer saying that it was now referred to as Climate Change, and that it was really just a question of semantics.
Semantics mind you.
The Global Warming thing of the last few years has ramped up so far that talk now of actual warming is, er, maybe a little off the mark, and is not actually happening. In fact, it would seem that we might be entering a period of actual cooling.
When pressed, the commentator said that now, Climate Change is the actual overall ‘big picture’ that is being pursued.

See how a subtle change in wording (semantics) is now being pursued as the mantra.
Why is that?
The debate has been ramped up so far now that there is just no way they can say, ‘sorry! We, er, may have got that wrong.’
