The federal Member for Calare, John Cobb, has been promoted to the position of Opposition spokesman for agriculture, fisheries and forestry.

Mr Cobb says his main focus will be to hold the Minister, Tony Burke, accountable for his actions.

"What disturbs me so much and what's been happening is that everyone you speak to that makes applications to the Government for everything. If it doesn't have climate change or global warming or trading schemes involved in the application they can't get past first base, not even with Minister for Agriculture," he said.
