The concept of Global Warming has been debunked in a number of circles, largely because it is far more complicated than that. Climate Change is a far more accurate moniker for what is happening, and there is abundant evidence that this is the case.

Meanwhile, because Global Warming has been debunked, the right-leaning media have claimed it as a myth to crusade against, and their audiences are listening. Every time a politician speaks of Global Warming, it gives them one more reason (rightly or wrongly) to discredit them. Climate Change is a term that carries far less charge, while also being much harder to argue against.
