Colin [Carlson] started the Cool Coventry Club in 2006 to advocate for individual lifestyle changes that would help reduce energy consumption and combat global warming. He speaks publicly about the cause, encouraging others to start activism groups. In February, the Coventry Town Council passed a resolution committing to clean energy usage thanks to Colin's work.

”Colin's amazing,” says Colin Bennett, 29, who works with Colin on the Connecticut Youth Activist Network and mentored Colin on starting an environmental advocacy club. “He's doing things now that I didn't start doing until I was 25. … If he sets a goal, I have no doubt in my mind that he'll be able to make it.”

I was in the gifted program in high school. There was one guy in my class who was convinced that the only reason there was drug abuse in the US was due to a Soviet plot. Someone can have very speedy cognitive processing and still be a dumbass. Trouble is, like 'scientists', people get intimidated or overly impressed by what are in reality some sometimes shallow attributes.
