Sierra Club, Steger blast effort for more oil drilling | Duluth, Minnesota
Steger, flanked by environmental activists dressed in polar bear costumes, headlined a rally on the Duluth harborfront aimed at thwarting efforts to open more sensitive environmental areas to oil drilling.

Steger and Sierra Club activists said that the recent push to open sensitive offshore coastal areas and the Arctic National Wildlife Areas are simply a well-funded, calculated diversion to keep the nation addicted to oil and move attention away from efforts to develop renewable fuels.
