Stephane Dion makes a leafy green shift
MONTREAL • Liberal leader Stéphane Dion has undertaken a different kind of green shift, a personal move toward more salad.
In an interview this morning with Paul Arcand of Montreal’s 98.5 FM news radio, Mr. Dion said he eats “very little” meat because of the environmental toll of livestock production.
...
Mr. Dion said a Liberal government would not prevent people from eating meat, but it would bring in policies to make farming less polluting. “I have reduced my consumption,” he said.

The interviewer took Mr. Dion to task for using the most polluting plane of all party leaders as he campaigns in favour of his Green Shift policy to cut carbon emissions.
